Accommodations

Local Troupes: If you can spare a couch, bed, or floor space for an out-of-town troupe, or know someone who can, please let us know by emailing us at info@torontosketchfest.com. Let us know 1) how many people you can accommodate, 2) can you accommodate males, females or does it matter, and 3) what the sleeping arrangements are. We’ll put you in touch with an out of town troupe who is looking for accommodations.

Out of Town Troupes: We have received emails from many of you asking for help with accommodations. If you haven’t emailed us and are interested in billeting with a Toronto-based troupe or trusted Festival volunteer, please let us know asap. Email us at info@torontosketchfest.com

Official Festival Hotel: Strathcona Hotel: The Strathcona is a lovely hotel in the centre of the city (York/Wellington), less than a 10 minute walk from the Festival theatres. They’ve offered us a great deal: rooms with two beds starting at $109 per night. When you reserve, be sure to let them know you are with the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival in order to access our rate.

Global Village Backpackers Hostel – www.globalbackpakcers.com - $25-$30 per night per person, 5-minute walk to theatres

Canadiana Hostel - www.canadianalodging.com - $25-$30 per night per person, 5-minute walk to theatres

Priceline.ca – use the “Name Your Own Price” feature to bid for cheap hotel rooms. Warning: you do not get to choose the specific hotel you are in, but you get to choose the general area, quality of hotel and the amount you pay. The area you want to search is “Toronto”, not North York or Toronto Airport. There are a couple of hotels in that region that are about 45 minutes away by transit, so you are rolling the dice.
