Troupe of the Day – BOAT

Posted on: March 7th, 2013 by brie

Each day leading up to the 2013 Festival, the TOsketchfest Blog will feature one of our 40+ awesome comedy troupes.

Today’s troupe of the day is BOAT.

The boys from BOAT boast a pretty impressive resume.  They’ve been nominated official selections at the Chicago Sketchfest, the New York City Sketch Festival, the San Francisco Sketchfest, and the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival and in addition to that, they currently have a show running at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City.

But if you’re wondering why psychologically your mouth starts to salivate when you watch them and you get a sudden urge to tell people around you to “give you a break,” don’t worry – it’s just that BOAT troupe member Nunzio Randazzo is the face of Kit Kat in North Africa and the Middle East!   Don’t travel much?  Maybe you’re more of a bookworm?  That’s OK.  Troupe member Amos Vernon is a contributing writer for The Onion.  Together with Mike Lane, this trio has become known for their sharp, satirical, and often surreal brand of sketch comedy, which they’ve graciously agreed to share it with their northern neighbours here at TOsketchfest!

Check out their troupe profile to find out when they are playing, and to grab your tickets.
