Comedy Award winning sketch troupe The Sketchersons perform in Sunday Night Live every week at Comedy Bar. The show features a guest host and all new sketches with live music by The Hazard Pay.
Sunday Night Live is the flagship show of Toronto’s Comedy Bar, written by and featuring The Sketchersons. Modeled after Saturday Night Live, the show features all-new sketches, live music, and a special guest host every week. They are the winners of the 2007 Canadian Comedy Award and have been nominated four times since. The Sketchersons have performed across Canada and the United States, including the 2008 Just For Laughs Sketch Comedy Gala in Toronto, the 2009 Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival, and at the 2012 JFL42 Festival. Past guest hosts have ranged from local comedians and artists, to celebrities like Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Scott Adsit and John Lutz (30 Rock), Paul Brittain (Saturday Night Live), James Adomian (Comedy Bang Bang) Kurt Braunohler (Comedy Central, Drunk History), Scott Thompson and Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall), and Bret “The Hitman” Hart.
