Sketch Com-Ageddon

Let the chaos begin!

Sketch Com-Ageddon is a week-long sketch comedy competition taking place at Comedy Bar in Toronto. With 48 troupes vying for a $500 cash prize and automatic entry into the 2011 Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, this is a week of hilarity and chaos not to be missed.

48 sketch troupes clash in 4 preliminary rounds Tuesday through Thursday. They have one sketch – maximum 5 minutes – to win over the audience and/or an in-house judge. One judge’s pick, and one audience pick from each preliminary round move on. Same judging applies in each of the 2 semi-final rounds on Friday night with each troupe performing a 10 minute set. 2 troupes from each semi are sent to the final showdown on Saturday where the audience alone crowns the winner.

Sketch Com-Ageddon is a fundraiser for The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.
