Message from the Mayor

The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival will celebrate 15 years March 4 – 15, 2020 at various venues across Toronto. This milestone makes TOsketchfest the longest running comedy Festival in Toronto.

The 3D Toronto Sign in Nathan Phillips Square will be lit in colours of blue, purple, white on March 5 for the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival’s 15th anniversary. Grab a selfie while this lighting pattern is in rotation from approximately 9am on March 5 until 9am on March 6!

Message from the Mayor

It gives me great pleasure to extend greetings and a warm welcome to everyone attending the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival’s 15th anniversary.

Congratulations to your organization and all of the comedians who have entertained audiences over the past 15 years. Thank you for making us laugh and giving us many reasons to smile throughout the many performances.

This anniversary is a cause for celebration, a time to reflect on Toronto’s long and successful history in sketch comedy and the contributions of this Festival to the city’s cultural vibrancy.

On behalf of Toronto City Council, please accept my best wishes for a memorable celebration and continued success.

Yours truly,
John Tory
Mayor of Toronto
