Synopsis:

Characters Welcome is the best damn character show on the planet. Originally developed at the UCB Theatre in New York, it’s been bringing together NYC’s best and brightest comedians to perform their original solo characters and impressions since 2012. Co-hosted by Eric Feurer, Michael Hartney, Sarah Smallwood Parsons, and Justin Tyler, Characters Welcome has moved online with a weekly show co-produced by JFL and a YouTube channel boasting 128K subscribers and tens of millions of views.

Creative Bio:
Michael Hartney created the roles of Stanley and Mr. Williams in the original Broadway cast of School of Rock The Musical. He was also a staff writer on TV Land’s Throwing Shade and co-created Unique NY for IFC. TV acting credits include 30 Rock, The Politician, and The Break with Michelle Wolf. Michael was a Comedy Central Comic to Watch in 2016 and a JFL New Face – Characters in 2018.

Justin Tyler is a writer, director and performer. He is currently a Supervising Field Producer and director for Desus & Mero on Showtime. Recently, he was a staff writer on The Opposition w/ Jordan Klepper on Comedy Central and Head Writer for Comedy Knockout on TruTV. As an actor, he recently appeared in the LionsGate feature Most Likely to Murder and the Wyatt Cynac digital series aka Wyatt Cynac on Topic.

Eric Feurer is a director, writer, and performer. He currently teaches character classes, and in the past has written for The Blue Man Group. Eric has sold sketches to TruTV and College Humor. On the internet he is commonly referred to as “an uglier John Mulaney”

Sarah Smallwood Parsons was a writer and performer at UCB NY. Her characters The Song [In Every Musical] That No One Likes and Woman With A Tit Out have over 1 million views on YouTube. Sarah was a Just For Laughs New Face and a Resident at Above Average, and created the series FUCKING and Personal Business. Her pilot, Forgotten Animals, with an all-women cast, is now available on Vimeo.
