Synopsis:

Does it feel like 100 dispensaries have opened up in your neighborhood? You’re not alone… Meet life-long friends, ROB (Played by Jordan Shore) & DONNA (Played by Raylene Turner); two Toronto dwellers who enjoy having their coffee date catch-ups in Trinity Bellwoods Park… because where else would they go? As they sip on their $5.45 single-shot flat whites from White Squirrel, they reminisce on “the good old days” and how thrilling it used to be to buy weed. Times have most certainly changed.

Creative Bio:
Toronto Sketch Comedy was founded by Taylor Hreljac and Peter Cheema in the Summer of 2020 after a group of improvisers came together to create an Online Sketch Comedy Show under the direction of Second City Alumn, Stacey McGunnigle. After the success of the LIVE premiere, they decided to create a community to help local comedians connect and collaborate. @torontosketchcomedy

Dispensary Delusions was written by Jordan Shore and Raylene Turner, two queer multi-disciplinary Toronto-based artists who met many years ago. Shore and Turner are theatre school graduates from the GTA who have become a sketch writing duo. They plan on releasing more content with the help of Taylor & Peter over the coming months. Their writing style is a direct reflection of who they are: quirky, fun, a lil’ sexy, and just plain ridiculous!

When Turner isn’t painting for her business, Dwelling by Ray, she is writing sketches, auditioning, and most recently, training to be a Doula. She has worked mostly in immersive theatre and has a Dora Award Nomination for Best Ensemble with DLT Theatre Company. @rayleneturner

Shore is a Conservatory student at Second City. Over the past few years, he has performed in a number of shows and even hosted the legendary Beer Beer Comedy Show. He is the founder of Shore Thing Entertainment, an improv, and sketch comedy-based theatre company. @jordshore
