Don’t Touch Women by Janelle McGuinness
After living in lockdown for a year, who could possibly remember the rules of social etiquette? Lucky for you, Lacey is here with some hot tips to help facilitate a seamless transition out of social distancing and back into society! (And boys, you better be taking notes!)
“Don’t Touch Women” is one of many sketches Janelle McGuinness has written since the beginning of the pandemic. It is also one of the many sketches that she has roped her roommate, Erin Humphry, into helping her create.
Janelle is a Toronto-based comedian and improviser whose most recent stage credit was understudying The Second City Toronto’s sketch comedy revue, If I Could #Throwback Time. Her sketch, “Don’t Touch Women”, was an official selection for the 2021 Great Canadian Sketch Comedy Film Festival. Additionally, she was a co-writer, producer, and performer in the award winning sketch comedy revue, Carpe into my DMs at the 2019 Toronto Fringe Festival.
Erin Humphry is a Toronto-based actor/dramaturg who found her way into directing and cinematography over this past year. Their other work in this field includes almost every single other sketch on Janelle’s Youtube Channel. She hopes for a speedy conclusion to the pandemic if for no other reason than Janelle will stop asking them to help her film sketches.
