The Show:

Hybrid is a sketch comedy duo made up of Devon Hyland and Brennan Asbridge. With gender neutral names like these, good LUCK figuring out who’s who. Never using their real names in any scenes, you can see Devon and Brennan tackle subjects such as dogs in the workplace, dogs on vacay, and so on and so forth. You’re going to want to prioritize this show above others.

The Bio:

Devon Hyland is an alumnus of The Second City Mainstage in Toronto and has performed improv & sketch comedy across North America and on top of its beautiful oceans for over a decade. He regularly performs at Catch23 at Comedy Bar and $15 Beer Beer on the Danforth. He recently appeared as Gavin Moonboom on Cupcake and Dino (Netflix) and will be appearing as the smiley manager of a Retirement Home on Workin’ Moms (CBC) in 2020. His beautiful band The Krulls released its 4th annual Halloween album on Spotify in October.

Brennan Asbridge is an award-nominated improviser from Oakville, Ontario. A graduate of both the Second City’s longform and sketch conservatory programs, she’s half of Two Girls One Trench Coat, part of the longform troupe Jibber Jabbar, as well as a Bad Dog Featured Players alum. She recently performed improv for 24hours straight to raise money for Bad Dog Theatre’s inclusion initiatives. She has performed at the Edmonton, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Ottawa, and Montreal improv/comedy festivals, and now hopes to perform all over the world via her internet web series Brennan and Victoria Make Rent. If you don’t like the internet, you can also see her performing live in her monthly show Seeing Double, the third Tuesday of every month, 9:30pm at Comedy Bar.

Hybrid has been performing together in one form or another since August 2018.
