The Show:

Li’l RasGALS know they have a reputation to live up to: lots of characters, lots of wigs, and probably a song (ok, definitely a song). The diminutive duo promise not to disappoint, with sketches based on whoever or whatever has most recently driven them crazy or entertained them, from Bay Street douchebags to the life-changing results of a new hairdo. Li'l RasGALS' humour is accessible, with strong female POVs and lots of straight up silly.

The Bio:

Toronto-based comedians Chelsea Larkin & Susannah Kiernan form sketch duo Li’l RasGALS, whose sketches oscillate between strong female point of views and straight up silly. These ladies are regulars on the Toronto comedy scene and were thrilled to win the “Sketchiest Sketch Troupe” Award at last year’s Toronto Sketchfest.

These pint-sized pals have decades of comedy and performance experience under their respective belts. Chelsea graduated from the Comedy Writing and Performance Program at Humber College, Second City Conservatory and Masters Class, and has trained and performed with Bad Dog theatre and Impatient Theatre Company. Susannah is also a Second City conservatory grad and former cast member of the Second City Sunday company – the Bench, and has trained extensively and performed at the Groundlings (L.A.) and Upright Citizens Brigade (N.Y.). They can also be seen in countless commercials, webseries, musicals, podcasts, and on TV, usually being murdered or murdering someone in a docudrama much to their mothers’ horror.

The Li’l RasGALS have been performing regularly together as a duo all over Toronto and on the road for years, were nominated for Now Magazine’s Best Sketch Troupe. The ‘GALS split their time between Sketchfests, local shows, corporate gigs, and teaching workshops. Beyond teaching sketch-writing and improv they have found a niche teaching and instilling confidence in young women, encouraging them to work together and support each other.
