The Templeton Philharmonic
The Templeton Philharmonic are a female sketch duo best known for their deft character work, stylized interpretive dance sequences, and biting social commentary. From snooty Victorian ladies, to salad-obsessed health nuts - these two are the darlings of off-beat, period-piece comedy.
The Templeton Philharmonic are an award-winning female comedy duo comprised of Gwynne Phillips (HBO’s SENSITIVE SKIN, and PBS’s ODD SQUAD) and Briana Templeton (Syfy’s THE EXPANSE, and The Comedy Network’s THE BEAVERTON). Together, Phillips and Templeton write and perform sketch that is known for it’s surreal flavour, feminist flare, and biting social commentary. They have picked up several awards for their work, including “Best Duo” at the L.A. Comedy Festival and “Producer’s Pick” at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. They were writers for CBC’s Radio’s THE IRRELEVANT SHOW and created starred in the CBC Comedy web series, WOMANISH. They’ve appeared on many stages across North America – including New York’s Upright Citizen’s Brigade, San Francisco Sketchfest, and Toronto’s Massey Hall.
