The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival is seeking an individual to fill the role of “Digital Producer” for the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival in March 2021 and beyond.

The Digital Producer is a key member of the producing team, working with the organization’s leadership to produce a comedy festival entirely online and to develop digital comedy programs for the organization moving forward. The Digital Producer takes a leadership role in curation, promotion, distribution and monetization strategy for the digital festival, and defining the next steps for TOsketchfest in the digital space.

Start Date: January 11th, 2021 or as soon as possible
Commitment: Average of 20 hours per week
Compensation: $25-$27/hour + 4% vacation pay

What We’re Looking for:

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around the world of digital comedy content creation and distribution. You know what good digital comedy content looks like and how to find an audience for it. You have intermediate to advanced technical skills in video editing, and are at ease with a variety of software and media platforms. You can work remotely (from anywhere in Canada) and are comfortable collaborating with your teammates in the cloud. You have demonstrated your commitment to accessibility, equity, diversity and inclusion in the arts and digital media, and you’re open to learning and growing in this area. In this position, the only thing more important than a sense of humour and love of comedy is your ability to stay organized, hit deadlines and prioritize tasks.

The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival is actively seeking applications from Black, Indigenous and/or POC candidates to fill this role. Priority will be given to people from equity-seeking groups when selecting candidates for interviews.

The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
