See you in 2025 for our 20th anniversary

10 for 20

This is hard… Help a Festival Out!

It’s getting harder and harder to put on this comedy festival we all love so much. Over the next year, we’ll be pushing a boulder up a hill to get TOsketchfest to its 20th birthday – but we’re committed to putting in the work to get there. Wouldn’t this be more fun with a whole bunch more people helping us do it? Many hands make light work, they say.

10 For 20

This year, we’re asking 100 festival fans to become a $10 monthly donor to celebrate 20 years of The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.

This boulder ain’t gonna push itself. Will you get behind us?

Why Invest in TOsketchfest?

As one of Canada’s few registered charities dedicated to advancing comedic writer/performers, TOsketchfest is an important support for Canadian comedy. Through flagship events like The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival and the Comedy Country series, alongside year-round workshops and panels in our Learning + Fun Program, we contribute to a dynamic and inclusive comedy landscape.

In 2023/24 alone:

81

sketch troupes, solo acts, musical comedians, drag, and clown acts were showcased, amplifying diverse comedic voices.

237

individual comedy creators graced our stages, each bringing unique perspectives to life.

57

employment opportunities were generated for arts workers, fostering community resilience.

4

groundbreaking comedy projects received funding, pushing artistic boundaries.

$66,000

was paid to comedy writer/performers, addressing critical financial needs in a neglected sector.

This snapshot of our impact demonstrates the potential with sufficient funding. Your investment isn’t just a donation; it’s a vote for comedy’s power to entertain, enlighten, and unite.

Join us in shaping the future of Canadian comedy. Together, let’s script the next chapter.

Did you know?!

5,000 comedy lovers attend TOsketchfest each year. If every attendee from a single season made a $10 monthly gift, TOsketchfest could exist completely independent of public funding and corporate sponsorship. Imagine what what we could achieve for our 20th Anniversary – and for the next 20 years!

Will you help us script the next 20 years by making a $10 monthly gift today?
